Beyond sleep tracking enhancements, watchOS 26.2 introduces "Enhanced Safety Alerts." These alerts notify users of imminent dangers such as natural disasters, floods, and other emergencies. In the US, alerts will feature detailed information, including maps of affected areas and links to additional safety resources.

This update also addresses bugs, notably fixing an issue in the Music app that occasionally prevented the app from advancing to the next song.

Apple Watch users eligible for watchOS 26.2 can install the update through the Apple Watch app on their paired iPhone by navigating to General > Software Update. Ensure your iPhone is running iOS 26.2 to proceed with the installation.
