Last week’s poll revealed surprising enthusiasm for the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold. Although many respondents were deterred by its price, the innovative tri-fold design continues to attract significant interest.
When combining those ready to invest heavily for early adoption with the undecided participants, the Z TriFold exceeds 50% favorability. Such strong support for a new mobile form factor is uncommon—previous introductions, such as super-slim phones, faced much less initial enthusiasm.
Notably, the Z TriFold outperformed the Galaxy Z Fold7 in the poll. The Fold7’s launch was a pivotal moment for Samsung, convincing many consumers to switch from the flagship S Ultra series. In fact, around 30% of Fold7 buyers in the US were former S Ultra users. Despite its bulkier design, the tri-fold model has gained greater popularity than the slimmer bi-fold, defying expectations.

However, Samsung faces emerging competition. The Huawei Mate XT Ultimate, despite challenges including limited global availability due to Huawei’s reduced market presence, has garnered notable interest. Once the largest Android manufacturer, Huawei is rebuilding its market reach but remains at a disadvantage compared to its peak.
