Samsung's Galaxy Z TriFold launched today in Korea and sold out rapidly, despite its steep price of approximately $2,400. Alongside this, new information reveals the high cost of replacing the device's inner folding screen.
In Korea, the minimum price for repairing the TriFold's folding screen is KRW 1,657,500, roughly $1,122. This makes it the most expensive Samsung smartphone screen replacement to date. Given the complexity and technology of a double-folding screen, the price is understandable.
Fortunately, Samsung is providing buyers with a one-time 50% discount on screen repairs. This offer is a welcome relief for anyone facing the high cost of fixing the TriFold's delicate folding display.
Meanwhile, replacing the cover display is significantly cheaper at KRW 137,000, or about $92, contrasting sharply with the inner folding screen's cost. This disparity highlights the complexity and expense involved in manufacturing and repairing advanced foldable screens today.
