Rumors of a new lineup from OnePlus, dubbed the Turbo series, first emerged in October. Later that month, detailed specifications for the initial device in this range were leaked. Now, OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch of the Turbo series.
Li Jie, President of OnePlus China, announced the Turbo lineup on Weibo, marking the company’s 12th anniversary. He stated that Turbo devices will "inherit the powerful performance genes" of OnePlus flagships, while leading their segment with industry-best battery life and delivering "an unprecedented gaming experience."
OnePlus 15Li also revealed that OnePlus expects to achieve the highest sales growth among smartphone brands in China by the end of 2025, projecting a 40% increase over 2024. The Turbo series is positioned to enhance gaming performance, aiming to provide the ultimate gaming experience to a wider audience.
Leaked specifications of the first OnePlus Turbo device indicate a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and equipped with a large 8,000 mAh battery featuring 100W wired charging support. Photography hardware includes a 50MP main rear camera and an 8MP ultrawide sensor.
