The highly anticipated Huawei Mate 80 series is gearing up for an imminent launch in China, with numerous leaks and rumors emerging ahead of the official reveal. While previous reports suggested a revamped rear camera design, fresh insights have now surfaced, revealing key details about the Mate 80 Pro+’s camera setup.
According to a recent Weibo post by tipster DCS, the Huawei Mate 80 Pro+ is expected to feature a pair of 50MP periscope cameras. One of these cameras will provide a medium focal length lens, while the other will offer enhanced zoom capabilities for distant subjects, elevating the phone’s photography versatility.
In addition to the dual periscope modules, the device will reportedly include a 1/1.28-inch 50MP primary sensor equipped with LOFIC technology, enhancing image quality and low-light performance. However, as is typical with early leaks, these details should be viewed cautiously until Huawei confirms them officially.
Beyond the camera, the Mate 80 lineup is also rumored to be powered by a new Kirin chipset and to support 100W fast charging technology.
