vivo X500 Series Rumored to Feature Significantly Larger Batteries

Source: Date:

Following the recent launch of the vivo X300 and X300 Pro in China, where the devices sport impressive battery capacities of 6,040 mAh and 6,510 mAh respectively, fresh rumors about the upcoming X500 series have emerged. Expected to debut possibly in October next year, vivo appears to be skipping the X400 series due to tetraphobia concerns in some Asian markets.

According to a report from Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the vivo X500 smartphones will come equipped with much larger batteries exceeding 7,000 mAh. This marks a notable increase compared to the current X300 models. Meanwhile, the anticipated X300 Ultra is unlikely to break the 7,000 mAh threshold, with its battery capacity rumored to fall between 6,000 mAh and 7,000 mAh.

vivo is also developing a series of mid-range smartphones scheduled for release next year, which are expected to feature even bigger batteries, ranging from 8,000 mAh to 9,000 mAh. This suggests the company’s strategy for high-end devices prioritizes balanced designs over maximizing battery capacity alone, likely because the advanced camera modules on flagship models occupy space that could otherwise be allocated for larger batteries.
