Google Introduces a Convenient Way to Sign In to Gmail Using Your Mobile Number
Google has recently rolled out a new feature that simplifies the process of accessing your Gmail account if you've lost access to your email. With the "Sign in with Mobile Number" option, Android users can now verify their identity and regain access to their Gmail account with just their mobile number.
How Does It Work?
By entering your phone number, you can view accounts linked to that number and choose the one you want to sign in to. You will then be prompted to enter your lockscreen passcode, and voila! You can access your account without the need for a password.
Setting Up Recovery Contacts
Additionally, Google has introduced a "Recovery Contacts" setting that allows users to select trusted individuals, such as family members or friends, to assist in recovering a locked Gmail account. This provides an extra layer of security and peace of mind in case traditional recovery methods fail.
