Earlier this week, there were rumors about the launch of the Oppo Find X8 Ultra occurring in March, but new insights from Oppo's Find series product manager Zhou Yibao suggest otherwise. The highly anticipated device is set to be officially unveiled in April, with sales starting the same month.
Zhou Yibao indicated that the Find X8 Ultra might be the sole Ultra model from any Chinese manufacturer featuring a flat screen this year. While he remained vague on specifics, he mentioned that it would boast the thinnest something in the world, possibly referring to the bezels. The Ultra is rumored to come equipped with a 6.82-inch "2K" OLED display produced by BOE, a 1-inch main camera, dual periscope telephoto cameras, and an ultrawide lens.

In addition to the Ultra model, Oppo is planning to introduce a new "ultra-thin small screen flagship," likely the highly speculated Find X8 Next, previously referred to as the Find X8 Mini. This rebranding indicates Oppo's aim to compete with high-end smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and the iPhone 17 Air, with rumors suggesting it will measure between 7 mm and 7.99 mm in thickness.
